Studies the combustion performance of several kinds of new composite insulating air ducts in present markets by adopting three methods, i.e. the current combustibility classification testing according to China’s regulation, the newly-revised European fire classification testing and the simulating actual fire testing. Comprehensively and objectively analyses the combustion characteristics of composite air duct materials. Combined with the rules in correlation standards such as the fire protection design code, proposes some suggestions of feasibility and security for using the B1 level air duct in the standard of GB 8624 in buildings.
